A bag is an important part of any fashionista’s wardrobe, so it is also necessary to keep track of which bag models are in trend in the fall of 2021 and which are outdated.

Colady magazine studied the latest collections and shows of famous brands and found out which bags will be the most relevant in the near future.

1. Tote

The tote bag, especially the maxi size, promises to be very popular in the coming season. At least this is hinted at by brands such as Hermès, Fendi, Proenza Schouler and The Row. Nice bonus: this bag is very convenient and practical.

2. Hobo

There are several reasons to buy an impressive hobo bag. Firstly, it is roomy and practical: thanks to its rather large size and shape, you can put a lot of different objects in it (and we girls love to do this). And secondly, hobo is trending again! So we are buying the most comfortable and voluminous model for the fall.

3. Waist bags

Belt bags, which have become one of the main trends of 2019, are still not losing ground. This season, models made of denim, natural or artificial leather, suede will be especially relevant.

4. On a chain

One of the trends of 2021 is handbags on a chain. By the way, chains of various sizes have taken over the fashion sphere this year: they are relevant both as an independent accessory (not long and voluminous), and as a decoration on bags and clothes (both miniature and thick).

5. Puffy bags

What bag will look organic on a cold, chilly day? That’s right – exaggerated! Such unusual bags in a slightly sporty style have become a trend for the fall-winter 2021-2022 season.

6. Unusual shape

And these are not only handbags in the shape of a heart or a cat’s head – today you can find the most amazing and simply unimaginable options, for example, in the shape of an ice cream cone (Rosantica) or a biker jacket (Moschino). Such a detail will definitely revive your image and bring a touch of mischief to the gray autumn days.

7. Micro bags

At its spring show this year, the fashion house Chanel surprised us with incredibly cute tiny handbags, setting the trend for petite and very petite sizes. Yes, such a handbag is very impractical because you can’t put anything in it, but any self-respecting fashionista should pay attention to this hot trend.

8. Animal print

Animalistic prints, which we all have already begun to forget, are returning to the catwalks in the form of bags with a leopard or embossed crocodile. Such a bold accent will perfectly complement, say, a monochrome autumn look, adding “pepper” to it. The only caveat: do not buy bags made of natural crocodile or snake skin – in the 21st century, caring for animals comes to the fore.

9. Two colors

If you are looking for something stylish and non-trivial, then you should definitely look at bags that combine two colors. Look for a successful and non-standard (the more extravagant, the better) color blocking option and you will find a thing that is guaranteed to set you apart from the crowd.

10. Chess print

It seems that passions for the mini-series “Queen’s Move” are not going to subside: designers again and again are inspired by the checkerboard, inviting fashionistas to introduce this print into their images. Bags are no exception: whether they are miniature clutches or voluminous totes, a checkerboard will always be appropriate.

11.With sequins

Important news for all fashionistas: glamorous and crazy zeroes are back, and with them sparkling sequins, rhinestones, crystals. Now you don’t have to worry if you really want to buy yourself a frivolous handbag embroidered with rhinestones – the style a la Britney Spears and Paris Hilton is back in fashion.

12.Fringed

This year, many designers (Isabel Marant, Etro, Flying Solo) decided to recall such an element as fringe. Even if you are not a fan of boho and ethno styles, you should still take a closer look at handbags with such decor – perhaps this particular detail will become the highlight of your look.
