Promising does not mean getting married (2009)

Based on the 2004 bestselling book from the writers of Sex and the City, the film follows five couples at different stages of their relationship and how they deal with their personal problems.

Hang in Palm Springs (2020)

It stars Christina Milioti and Andy Samberg as guests at the wedding. This couple falls into a time loop and is trying with all their might to find a way to escape from it – and in the process, of course, falls in love with each other.

Crazy Rich Asians (2018)

The film based on the book by Kevin Kwan has become one of the best rom-coms of 2018. A Chinese American named Rachel is traveling to Singapore to attend the wedding of her boyfriend’s best friend. She is not yet aware that her boyfriend is a member of one of the richest families in Singapore, and his mother does not approve of everyone he meets, especially American women.

27 weddings (2008)

Jane has been a bridesmaid at 27 weddings, but she has never been a bride herself. At their next wedding, Jane meets journalist Kevin, who does wedding reviews for a local newspaper, but actually hates his job. Jane and Kevin discover they have much more in common than they realize.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003)

Sleepless in Seattle (1993)

Meg Ryan was the star of 90s rom-coms and this movie is one of them. Sleepless in Seattle also stars Tom Hanks as Sam, a widower and single father. One day, Sam’s 8-year-old son calls the local radio station and persuades his father to tell his story on the radio. The story wins the hearts of hundreds of listeners, including Annie, who, under the influence of an impulse, decides to meet with Sam.

You’ve got a letter (1998)

After Sleepless in Seattle, Hanks and Ryan co-starred again in the next rom-com, You’ve Got Mail. Hanks plays Joe, the head of a large bookstore chain who effectively ruins Kathleen’s small bookstore. The two hate each other in real life, but they constantly chat anonymously with each other online and begin to have feelings for each other.

Another very successful rom-com, largely thanks to the storyline about feelings between two rather elderly characters. Jack Nicholson plays Harry, a 60-year-old playboy, and Diane Keaton, a successful writer, who fall in love, despite the fact that they seem to have nothing in common.
