Mom from St. Petersburg draws funny comics about motherhood

Expectations from family life and motherhood are undoubtedly different from reality, which is shown in her funny comics by the talented artist from St. Petersburg Alina Bilash.

A creative mother knows firsthand how intense every day with a child can be. After all, children are not only happiness, but also new chores and adventures, night adrenaline and things scattered around the house.

You probably already guessed that the heroes of her wonderful comics are herself, her children and her beloved husband! Since January this year Alina began to show all the delights of her motherhood and family life in comics, in which everyone finds something of their own.

The editorial staff of Bologny magazine wondered how such a wonderful idea to draw comics about a family was born. Alina answered like this:

“I started with a monochrome mom, these were small sketches of life situations, with an ordinary pencil and pen. After the advent of the tablet and drawing software, I started to study color, and what comics are. Passed the first stream of the course from Alexandra Sovetova and changed the style, began to draw full-fledged scholarships (one-page comic strip). And, of course, what else to draw about in the second decree if not about the family. “

Her works are really sincere and life-like, so it is impossible not to smile when looking at these funny illustrations, in which every mother laughingly recognizes herself.

“The main philosophy of my work is to evoke the thought: “Oh, yes, it’s the same with me!” I supplement each comic with my own story, telling it in a post. They were originally as a way to share what is happening. A kind of therapy, to get support, that I am not the only one who gets tired, does not sleep and sometimes yell at children. As it turned out, many people need this support ”.

According to the artist, one comic strip takes from 2 to 5 hours, of course, depending on the complexity. Sometimes it takes 40 minutes. Alina loves her family very much and appreciates the support of her husband:

“The meaning of family relationships is to support each other. My husband, looking at me, also decided to find his calling and quit his job. Now he is at home most of the day and is happier. Spends more time with his family. I really appreciate that he supports my comics, courses and helps with the children. “

Drawn stories about life with her beloved husband and two children of Alina are full of humor. The artist believes that if in life she treats many things with jokes and laughter, then family quarrels will be much easier to avoid:

“Humor in family life is very helpful. This is the foundation of our family. Before I got married, I knew that I would only marry the man who could make me laugh. And the husband does it every day. By throwing more and more comic book plots with their behavior. “
