The long-awaited part of the New Year saga “Yolki 8” will be released in December
Boris and Zhenya will meet again before the New Year! Timur Bekmambetov’s film company Bazelevs has announced the date of the premiere of the next part of the New Year saga “Yolki 8”.
The day before the main night of the year, on December 30, the film will be released on large and small screens in both traditional box office and online cinemas.
Yolki is a popular film franchise. The project has seven parts: the first film was released in 2010, the last in 2018. Over 6 billion rubles were collected at the Yolki rental.
The new part “Yolok” consists of several short stories that were filmed in Perm, Tyumen, Ufa, Saransk, Nizhny Novgorod and other Russian cities.
Sergey Svetlakov, actor:
“The events that unfold in this film could not have happened in either the first, or the second, or even the last part. The times have changed – so the plot and jokes will match these changes. The humor in the new Yolki will become more daring, but this is still a movie that will create a festive mood for the whole family on New Year’s Eve. “
Ivan Urgant, actor:
“If anyone will suffer in the new Yolki, it will be my hero Boris, who is always gloomy and unhappy before the New Year. For the hero Svetlakov, everything, of course, will be fine. In our country, in general, there is a craving for eternal values, like Lenin in the Mausoleum. “Yolki” has already ended once – and look what happened: pandemic, coronavirus. Therefore, the continuation of the project simply had to happen. “
The authors have not yet revealed the details of the plot, but they promise more daring humor and relevant context.
