What would the stars look like if they were born in Russia in the 18th century?

You probably remember that the replacement of the Russian costume with a fashionable all-European one took place at the beginning of the 18th century after a number of special decrees Peter I

The introduction of European customs into the life of the nobility, the training of Russian youth abroad, the beginning of a cultural exchange with European countries – all this led to the Europeanization of the Russian noble costume.

However, for its implementation in life, government decrees were required, forcing by force, fines to change old forms of clothing and shoes, as well as hair and cosmetics. By decree Peter I in 1700, noblemen and townspeople were prohibited from wearing the old Russian costume and the following uniforms were established instead: for men – a short fitted caftan and camisole, culottes, long stockings and shoes with buckles, a shaved face; for women – a wide frame skirt, a tight-fitting bodice (bodice) with a deep neckline, high-heeled shoes, bright decorative cosmetics (blush and whitewash). Thus, the main forms of European clothing have replaced the ancient Russian costume, which is absolutely different from them in terms of constructive and decorative solution.
