Additionally she appeared in Laramie and Johnny Staccato Western series as well as TV specials The Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock Hour.

At various points in her illustrious career, Rowlands has collaborated with various directors and producers. Perhaps her most famous collaborations were with late husband, actor/director John Cassavetes (the star of A Woman Under the Influence and Gloria). Additionally, they appeared together in nine more movies such as A Child Is Waiting, The High Cost of Loving, and Faces.

Gena Rowlands has appeared in various television shows and miniseries for more than four decades, most notably as Katherine Chancellor on The Young and the Restless soap opera. Additionally, Gena was featured as a regular character on sitcom The Real McCoys as well as two movies Allie Calhoun and Beyond the Sea.

Nick Cassavetes and daughters Alexandra and Zoe are her three offspring; she has been married twice and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
