The most effective parenting methods
Mom and Dad always want to give the child only the best, including education and training. But this desire alone is unlikely to show excellent results, because the environment itself, the communication of parents with him and with each other, the choice of a kindergarten and then a school play a huge role in the upbringing of a baby. What are the most effective methods of raising children today? This will be our article.

An overview of the most popular parenting methods:
Glen Doman’s Methodology – Raising From Birth
Physician and educator, Glen Doman has developed a methodology for the upbringing and development of the youngest children. He believed that active education and upbringing of the child has the greatest effect. up to the age of seven… The technique is designed for the baby’s ability to absorb a lot of information, which is served to him according to a special system – are used cards with written words and objects, pictures. Like all other methods, it requires parents and teachers to have a reasonable approach and systematic approach to the lessons with the baby. This technique develops an inquiring mind in babies, stimulates the early development of speech, further speed reading.
Waldorf education – learning by imitating adults
An interesting technique that is based on model of children’s imitation of adult behavior, and, in accordance with this, the direction of children in education by the actions and deeds of adults, without coercion and rigorous training. This technique is most often used in the upbringing of preschoolers, in kindergartens.
Comprehensive education by Maria Montessori
This technique has literally been heard by everyone for many decades. The main essence of this technique is that the baby needs teach writing before anything else – reading, counting, etc. This method also provides for the labor education of the baby from an early age. Classes on this technique are held in an unusual form, with the active use of special sensory material and aids.
Parenting every minute
Philosopher, teacher, professor, Leonid Bereslavsky argued that pthe baby needs to develop every minute, everyday. Every day he can learn new things, and adults around should provide the baby with this opportunity. About from the age of one and a half, it is necessary to develop attention, memory, fine motor skills in a baby… From the age of three, a child can develop logic, spatial thinking. This technique is not considered revolutionary, but such a view of the complex development of young children in pedagogy appeared for the first time. Many believe that the methods of Leonid Bereslavsky and Glen Doman have great similarities…
Learning to understand the child
This methodology is a continuation, expanding the basic methodology of education of Glen Doman. Cecile Lupan rightly believed that the child always shows himself what he wants to know at the moment… If he reaches for a soft scarf or carpet, it is necessary to give him samples of various tissues for sensory examination – leather, fur, silk, matting, etc. If the child wants to rattle objects or knock on dishes, then he can be shown playing musical instruments. Observing her two little daughters, Cecile Lupan identified the patterns of children’s perception and development, embodying them in a new method of upbringing, which includes many sections – for example, geography, history, music, fine arts. Cecile Lupan also argued that swimming is very useful for a baby from an early ageand this activity was also included in her early childhood education and training program.
Natural parenting of a child
This unique and in many ways extravagant technique is based on Jean Ledloff’s observation of the life of the Indians in almost wild tribes. These people had the opportunity to express themselves as they saw fit, and their children were organically integrated into the common life, and almost never cried. These people did not feel anger and envy, they did not need these feelings, because they could always remain as they really are, without looking back at someone’s principles and stereotypes. Jean Ledloff’s technique refers to natural education of children from an early age, this is also stated in his book “How to Raise a Happy Child”.
Read before speaking
The famous innovator-teacher Nikolai Zaitsev proposed his own special method of raising and teaching children from an early age, according to which his teach to read and speak, showing cubes not with letters, but with ready-made syllables… Nikolay Zaitsev has developed a special manual – “Zaitsev’s cubes”, which help children in mastering reading. The cubes are different in size and the lettering is in different colors. Later, cubes began to be produced with the ability to produce special sounds. The kid learns to read at the same time as mastering speech skills, and his development is much ahead of the development of his peers.
Children grow up healthy and smart
Innovative teachers, Boris and Elena Nikitin, raised seven children in a family. Their parenting methodology is based on active use of various games in teaching children, in communicating with them… The Nikitins’ technique is also known for the fact that in their upbringing they paid great attention and health improvement of children, their hardening, up to wiping off with snow and swimming in icy water. The Nikitins themselves have developed many manuals for children – puzzles, tasks, pyramids, cubes. This method of education from the very beginning caused controversial reviews, and currently the opinion about it is ambiguous.
Pedagogy of cooperation in the method of Shalva Amonashvili
Professor, Doctor of Psychology, Shalva Alexandrovich Amonashvili based his method of education on the principle equal cooperation of an adult with children… This is a whole system based on the principle of a humane and personal approach to all children in the educational process. This technique is very popular, and at one time made a splash in pedagogy and child psychology. Amonashvili’s technique was recommended by the Ministry of Education back in the Soviet Union for use in schools.
This technique is based on teaching children music from an early age… The doctor proved that through music, a child can express himself, as well as receive the messages he needs from the world, see good, do pleasant things, love people and art. Being brought up according to this method, children begin to play musical instruments early, and also receive a comprehensive and very rich development. The purpose of the methodology is not to raise musicians, but to raise good, intelligent, noble people.
Feedback from parents
My child is attending Suzuki Gymnasium. We did not choose an educational institution for our son, it was just that she was not so far from our house, this selection criterion was the main one. Since childhood, we did not even notice that our son loves music – he listened to modern songs, if they sounded somewhere, but basically, he did not pay attention to music. Three years later, our son was already playing cello and piano. He constantly told us about music and concerts, that my father and I had to match the child and get acquainted with the music world. The son has become disciplined, the atmosphere in the gymnasium is excellent, based on respect for each other. I would not have known about this parenting method, but now, using the example of a child, I can say that it is very effective!
My daughter goes to kindergarten, to the Montessori group. This is probably a very good technique, I have heard a lot about it. But it seems to me that educators and teachers should pass a very strict selection into such groups, receive additional training. We were not very lucky, our daughter has a persistent antipathy to a young teacher who screams and behaves rather harshly with children. It seems to me that in such groups, attentive calm people should work, able to understand each child, to discern the potential in him. Otherwise, it turns out not education according to a well-known method, but profanation.
We partially applied the methodology of the Nikitin family in family education – we bought and made special manuals, we had a home theater. The son suffered from asthma, and we were advised this technique because of the ice water hardening system. To be honest, at first I was afraid of this, but the experience of the people we met showed that it works. As a result, we entered the children’s-parent club, which promotes Nikitin upbringing, and together we began to temper the children, organized joint concerts, and nature trips. As a result, my son got rid of severe asthma attacks, and most importantly, he is growing up as a very inquisitive and intelligent child, whom everyone at school considers a child prodigy.
Expecting my daughter, I was interested in the methods of early parenting, read special literature. Once I was presented with the book “Believe in Your Child” by Cecile Lupan, and I, just for fun, began to use some exercises from the very birth of my daughter. You should have seen how happy I was when I was convinced of this or that method. These were our games, and my daughter really liked them. Most often, I practiced pictures hung in front of the playpen, the crib, talked to my daughter, told her everything that she showed. As a result, she said the first words when she was 8 months old – and I am convinced that it was not the pronunciation of syllables, as everyone to whom I said, it was a deliberate pronunciation of the word “mother”.
It seems to me that you can not adhere to any one method of education – and take from them what you consider necessary for the development of your child. In this regard, each parent becomes an innovative teacher with a unique method of raising their own child.
