The Nutcracker ballet will be shown in the cinema on the eve of the New Year
Screenings in world and Russian cinemas will be held in 60 cities of Russia from 19 to 31 December 2021.
“More than 10 years ago, the Bolshoi Theater launched a project to show its ballets in cinemas. The largest French companies are our partners. Many popular performances are repeated many times. Of course, the ballet “The Nutcracker”, the last recording of which was made in pre-dock times, should also be included among them. From December 19 it will be available to spectators of Russia and the whole world, ”the press service of the theater said.
Yuri Grigorovich staged the ballet to music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky at the Bolshoi Theater in 1966 in collaboration with theater designer Simon Virsaladze. This performance has long become a part of New Year’s magic and miracle for many.
From the first notes of the famous work, one can already guess the beginning of a wonderful New Year’s story about a time when everything is possible.
