In the coming weeks, Charli Collier will begin her new position as president of Roku Media. She will be responsible for overseeing the growth of the company’s ad platform business globally. This comes at a time when Roku is making efforts to increase the amount of ad-supported content it provides to consumers.

Charli Collier was born in Mont Belvieu, Texas on September 22, 1999. She is the daughter of Ponda and Elliot Collier. She was born in the Virgo zodiac sign. Aside from her basketball skills, Charli has a passion for photography and internet surfing.

When Charli graduated from Barbers Hill High School, she joined the University of Texas as a member of the women’s basketball team. In her freshman season, she averaged 17.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. During her sophomore season, she earned First-Team All-Big 12 Conference accolades and became the only NCAA Division I athlete to average at least 20.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game.

After three seasons with the Longhorns, Charli Collier was drafted by the Dallas Wings in the first round of the 2021 WNBA Draft. She was one of the five finalists for the Lisa Leslie Awards in 2021. She was also selected to the UIL Class 5A State All-Tournament Team.

During her college career, Charli played on the United States U-17 Women’s National Team. Her performance at the Under-17 World Championship earned her a bronze medal. As a sophomore, she was part of the first-ever FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series.

Prior to joining Fox Entertainment, Charli Collier had spent the past 25 years in media business leadership positions. Among these were roles at AMC Networks and A&E Networks. Additionally, she held executive positions with Sundance TV and Oxygen. Throughout her tenure at Fox, Collier helped expand the network’s ad-supported direct-to-consumer streaming service, Tubi. The platform now has more than 7.5 million subscribers.

Charlie Collier will be responsible for ad sales, ad platform development, and global content development for the company. She will begin her new role in late October. During her time at Fox, the company saw an increase in ad revenue.

While Collier’s background is largely in cable and small-scale networks, she does have a knack for growing ad-supported direct-to-consumer platforms. With a strong background in programing, advertising and direct-to-consumer streaming, Collier will be able to provide a fresh perspective on the entertainment ecosystem.

Previously, Collier worked at the Fox network, where she led the company’s Alternative Entertainment group and Fox Alternative Entertainment Studios. At the time of the merger with Disney, Newman was one of the leading candidates for the job of network president. He was expected to step down after the deal was consummated.
