My Garage Door Won’t Close! What Do I Do?

Check the Tracks and Rollers

If you can’t close garage door, make sure the tracks and rollers are clean, free of debris and dirt, and that the rollers are lubricated. Adjust the track to make sure it is straight and properly aligned, as misalignment can lead to the door not being able to close completely. If the tracks are loose, tighten the bolts and screws until secure.

If you can, also check the door balance, as an unbalanced door will not close properly. If all of these things don’t help, you may need to call a technician or fix your garage door here or replace the garage door.

Check the Trolley

The trolley is the carriage your garage door opener uses to run along the tracks. This is often the cause if the garage door won’t go down. Make sure the trolley is aligned with the track and is not blocked by any debris.
