Actors who didn’t like kissing each other at all
Many films have gone down in the history of cinema not because of the plot, but because of the sensual kisses between the characters. When played correctly, these passionate moments in cinema evoke powerful emotions in the audience.
However, it took a lot more patience and professionalism from the actors than we think. It turns out that some of them did not like kissing their colleagues at all.
Will Smith and Eva Mendes
The love scenes with Eva Mendes in the 2005 comedy The Hitch Method were a real challenge for Will Smith. The fact is that Eva loved to snack on tuna sandwiches and onion chips. Luckily for Smith, the actress chowed down on her snacks so that they could kiss peacefully in the frame.
Marilyn Monroe and Tony Curtis
Although the actors allegedly had a little romance before The Jazz Only Girls (1959), when Curtis was asked about the on-screen kiss with Monroe, he stated that it was “It’s like kissing Hitler.”
In 2008, the actor denied his words in an interview with the Daily Mail, stating: “I was kidding. It was a terribly dumb question, and I gave the same terribly dumb answer. “

Alec Baldwin and Jennifer Aniston
The actor was not particularly tactful about his movie kiss with Jennifer Aniston on Studio 30. In a 2008 interview with New York Magazine, the actor said:
“It was fake. In the end, we get paid to kiss, but it’s like kissing a doll. “
Emma Watson and Rupert Grint
Given that both actors have starred in Potter since childhood, it’s understandable that they had a hard time coping with the kissing scene in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
“I don’t want to remember thisGrint told People in 2016, We have known Emma since the age of 9, and we have a brother-sister relationship. It was a surreal scene. I remember how her face slowly approached mine, and … I don’t remember anything else. “
Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon
Matt was unhappy with kissing Angelina in The Temptation False (2006).
“It’s like kissing your sister: really awful and somehow awkward,” – the actor explained his feelings.
He worried that Jolie was the wife of his friend Brad Pitt at the time.
Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio
In 2009, Kate complained about kissing Leo in The Road to Change (2008). And it sounds strange, especially after Titanic 1997. Could it be that “Road to Change” was filmed by then-husband of Kate Sam Mendes? How does it feel to kiss Leo in front of your husband?
Tom Cruise and Thandie Newton
Yes, actors have to step out of their comfort zones to work, but Tandy’s kissing Cruz in Mission: Impossible 2 (2000) took a tremendous amount of effort. The actress was allegedly shocked by how condescendingly this handsome man kissed, and gave a brief description of the kiss:
“It was a little nasty and a little slobbering.”
Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt
The actress was so nervous when she played love with married Chris Pratt in the 2016 movie “Passengers” that she remembered this experience for a long time:
“Chris was married, and this is my first kiss with a married man, and in the end I was consumed by a feeling of guilt. Yes, it’s work, but I was still very worried. When you want to play love as real as possible, it’s almost real. ”
Zoe Saldana and Orlando Bloom
Zoe kissed Orlando in Harbor (2004) and Bloom was embarrassed. In 2006, he admitted to People that Zoe had a boyfriend who came to the set to supervise the process.
“I was afraid of kissing Zoe! – recalled Bloom, “I was thinking all the time:“ Get your tongue out, please. Your boyfriend is standing by. ” Viewers are sure that kissing beauties is cool. And that’s always awkward. “
Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst
The actors created amazing on-screen chemistry in the 2002 hit Spider-Man, but their iconic upside-down kiss literally took Maguire’s breath away.
“The rain was pouring down my nose. I couldn’t breathe and gasped, gasping for air from the corner of Kirsten’s mouth, – the actor recalled, “We were rather doomedly pressed our lips than kissed.”
Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon
The actress didn’t like kissing Pattinson in Water for Elephants! (2011). However, Reese had a good reason: Robert had a cold and was suffering from a runny nose.
“He snorted and snorted terribly every second. Yes, I’m talking about snot “, – Reese explained to In Touch Weekly.
Well, in revenge, Pattinson shared even more juicy details about this kiss for MTV News. He stated that he had such a bad cold that he quietly wiped his nose on Witherspoon’s wig.
Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling
The actors not only hated the kissing scenes in The Notebook (2004), they also hated each other at all. Gosling even demanded that Rachel be replaced by another actress. This was revealed by director Nick Cassavetes to VH1 in 2014.
However, Cassavetes did not heed Gosling’s pleas, and as a result, “The Notebook” proved to be a landmark in the careers of both actors and one of the best melodramas of all time.
