Recently, American singer Bibi Rexa showed her figure on the beach. The paparazzi captured the star in a swimsuit while relaxing on the beach of Cabo San Lucas in Mexico, where the Hollywood diva was sunbathing and surfing. Judging by the photo, the quarantine did not pass without a trace for Bibi – the star clearly recovered a little, especially in the hips.
However, Bibi herself is not at all embarrassed by the acquired kilograms. The singer, always distinguished by her curvaceous forms, has repeatedly admitted that she loves her body and does not consider herself too fat and is not going to lose weight.
And also the star denies that she ever resorted to the help of plastic surgeons and corrected her figure (not everyone believes in the natural origin of the volumes of the star). The singer is not embarrassed by cellulite on the thighs: on the red carpet, she often appears in mini or revealing dresses with high slits, and on her Instagram she shares bold photos in a bikini.
Body shaming and couturier refusals
However, today Bibi Rexa can give free rein to imagination and choose those images that she likes, and once an aspiring singer was faced with real body shaming and the refusal of brands to dress her. The star revealed that when she was first nominated for a Grammy, she simply could not find a suitable outfit for the ceremony.
“As it turned out, a lot of designers don’t want to dress me because I’m too big. If girls in size 6-8 are too fat, then I don’t even know what else to tell you, ”the star told reporters.
However, then she quickly found a solution, turning to the young designer Christian Siriano, who became famous thanks to the Podium project. It was he who began to dress the singer.
What kind of figure is in fashion now?
We all know about how the standard of female beauty has changed, but what is the figure and what type is in fashion today? This question cannot be answered unequivocally. On the one hand, thanks to such celebrities as Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Beyonce, Rihanna and Ashley Graham, mouth-watering shapes, lush hips and a pear shape are in trend today.
But on the other hand, today the pursuit of trends is being replaced by such concepts as “body positive” and “body neutrality”, which urge girls to love their figure with any parameters or not to get hung up on external data at all. This is the position taken by Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish.
