Despite the second wave of coronavirus, yesterday one of the most anticipated events in the fashion world took place in Paris – the show of the spring-summer collection Chanel 2021. The show was held as usual, that is, offline and in the presence of spectators. Among the guests of the show were stars of the first magnitude, such as Marion Cotillard, Isabelle Adjani, Caroline de Megre and Vanessa Paradis with her daughter Lily-Rose Depp.
Both were dressed in tweed jackets, but if Vanessa preferred a rather restrained color scheme and a conservative image in the best traditions of the brand, then young Lily decided to dare by trying on a pink jacket, complemented by a bright microtope. The image was completed by jeans with inserts of pink fabric to match the jacket, sandals with heels, a small handbag and a belt. All things are from Chanel.
In the spirit of retro
This season, the creators of the collection were inspired by the legends of retro and the golden age of Hollywood, which was subtly hinted at in the preview videos posted on the official Chanel page. Black and white footage featuring such celebrities as Romy Schneider and Jeanne Moreau, as well as images of the famous Hollywood hills with huge letters, clearly referred us to the cinema of the last century.
The collection itself fully corresponded to the given theme. The predominance of black and white, the emphasis on femininity, accessories such as a veil immersed the viewer in the retro era.
