Peeling features. What is a bodyag?
Bodyaga is a sponge that lives in fresh water. People have long noticed its ability to absorb various bruises, scars, and a beneficial effect on the skin. The sponge is dried and a powder is made from it, for example, a wonderful preparation is made from it – “Bodyaga” gel, which can be bought at any pharmacy. The main action is to dissolve bruises, bruises, remove swelling on the skin. The sponge contains very thin and small needles of silica that prick the skin, increasing blood circulation in the skin. Thanks to these needles, the skin gets rid of the dead layer and rejuvenates. The pores of the skin are cleansed and narrowed, the skin looks very smooth and radiant.
Many women prefer body peeling at home to a salon peeling, because the effect of such peeling is no worse than other types. A pleasant bonus to this peeling is the availability of the product (you can buy it at any pharmacy), as well as a very low price for drugs. I am glad that it is a natural remedy, it does not contain harmful substances and preservatives.

Contraindications and precautions for body peeling
In pursuit of skin purity and youthfulness, women sometimes do not think about the consequences of the procedures performed at home. It should be noted that this sponge can cause allergies and therefore a sensitivity test should be performed before peeling procedures. To do this, a little gruel from powder or gel “Bodyaga” must be applied to the elbow bend, and then observe the reaction of the skin.
Slight redness is considered normal, and skin tingling is a common response of the skin to irritation. If there is a very strong redness of the skin, itching, red spots on other parts of the arm and all over the body, it is absolutely impossible to use bodyagi as a cosmetic peeling.
So, the main contraindications to the use of peeling:
- Open wounds on the skin, fresh abrasions and unhealed acne craters.
- Exacerbation of acne, very inflamed elements on the skin.
- Any infectious skin diseases.
- Hypertrichosis.
- Hypersensitivity of the skin.
- Allergy to bodily drugs.
- Couperosis, capillaries close to the skin surface.
Bodyagu should never be taken internally. It is undesirable to apply preparations from it to the sensitive area around the eyes, as well as to the lips. When preparing peeling from bodyagi powder, you must take precautions not to spray the agent – it can easily enter the respiratory tract, settle on the mucous membranes of the eyes, nose and mouth, causing severe inflammation and allergies.
How often can body peeling be done?
With good tolerance, peeling with this sponge can be performed no more than once every 5-7 days. When peeling with hydrogen peroxide, this procedure is carried out no more than once a month, and only in the cold season.
Body peeling at home – instructions
Exists several methods of peelingthat can be done at home.
- Method number 1: Body peeling with hydrogen peroxide
Dilute the bodyagi powder (about 4 grams) with hydrogen peroxide (3%) in a 1: 1 ratio. Apply the mixture immediately to the skin of the face as evenly as possible. When applying, avoid the area around the eyes and lips. Such a composition should be kept on the skin for up to 10 minutes, until the mask begins to dry, then remove the mask from the skin with cotton pads, as if rubbing it in. It should be noted that this method of body peeling causes severe reddening of the skin of the face, and a day later – severe peeling of the skin, so you need to have two or three days off to spend at home. After this peeling, a baby or any nourishing moisturizer should be applied to the skin. If the skin is prone to acne formation, excessive fat content, you should wipe the face skin with salicylic alcohol. The next day, the redness of the skin will be very strong – this should not be scared. A day later, very strong peeling will appear, the skin will peel off, as after a burn. You should not help the skin to exfoliate – you need to be patient and wait until the dying skin is completely peeled off. During this period, going out to the sun, visiting boni, saunas, washing with hot water, cosmetics – tonal creams, powders, blush, lotions, tonics are prohibited. Peeling should not be used in the same period with another peel, whatever it may be. The procedure should be carried out no more than once a month, and only in the cold season. - Method number 2: Strengthened body peeling
Mix the bodyagi powder with the “Bodyaga” gel in a 1: 1 ratio and apply the mixture on the face. Keep such a mask on the skin for up to 15 minutes, then use cotton pads to scrub the peeling mixture from the skin with massage movements, rubbing it until slightly reddened. After peeling, you need to wash your face with cool water, and then apply a suitable nourishing or moisturizing cream on your face. - Method number 3: Body peeling with cream
Mix a teaspoon of badyagi powder with the same amount of any cream suitable for your skin. Be careful when mixing – the dry powder should not get into the respiratory tract or on the mucous membrane of the eyes! Apply the mixture to the face, bypassing the areas around the eyes and lips. Rub the mask into the skin with cotton pads until tingling and a slight burning sensation, then leave the mixture to dry on the face for 20 minutes. After the time has elapsed, remove the remnants of the mask with cotton pads from the skin, then wash with cool water until the mask is completely removed from the skin. It is necessary to wash without soap and other cosmetics. After the mask, you can apply a moisturizer to your face. After the peeling procedure, the skin will be very red, you will feel the tingling of the needles in it – this is normal, because the peeling effect continues. After 2-3 days, the skin on the face may begin to peel off – this is a normal phenomenon; it is necessary to help the skin to cope with irritation by applying a moisturizer or nourishing cream to it. - Method number 4: Peeling gel “Bodyaga”
This peeling method is perhaps the mildest of all the peeling methods presented here. It is carried out very simply: on the skin of the face that has been cleaned, preferably fat-free with alcohol, the “Bodyaga” gel is applied. Rub the mask into the skin with careful massage movements, achieving slight reddening of the skin, burning sensation. After 15-20 minutes, after the gel has completely dried on the skin, sprinkle it with water from a spray bottle, then wash with cool water. After peeling, apply a moisturizing or nourishing cream to your face.
