Classic pedicure

A classic pedicure is usually performed in two stages. The first is a foot bath and soaking of the skin, the second is the elimination of keratinized skin and the modeling of the nail plate.

This type of pedicure is considered the most famous and cheapest.

After such a pedicure, you get a feeling of “thin skin” on the legs, because during this procedure all corns and calluses, thickened heels are removed.

The disadvantages of such a pedicure include a high probability of contracting various kinds of fungal infections. The water used in classic pedicure is a good medium for the spread of infection.

European pedicure

Can be called a kind of classic. Its main difference is that during the procedure, the cuticle is not cut off, but gently moved with the help of a wooden stick after applying a special dissolving cream to the cuticle. Thanks to this procedure, the growth of the cuticle is significantly slowed down. Plus, the fabric is not damaged and there is no risk of cutting or scratching.

However, in order for the cuticle to be neat and even, it is required to carry out this procedure regularly, in total 7-8 procedures should be carried out. Therefore, the likelihood of catching an infection is very high, but less than with a classic pedicure.

Spa pedicure

Hardware pedicure

It is fundamentally different from the classic pedicure and its varieties. The main difference is that such a pedicure completely excludes the use of water.

Before the session, the skin is first disinfected, and then a special emollient is applied, which affects only the keratinized cells. Each area is processed with a special nozzle. With such a pedicure, the possibility of skin injury or cuts is completely excluded.

With neglected feet, you first need about 6-8 procedures to bring your legs to perfect condition. But since during such a pedicure, functioning cells are not removed, therefore, over time, you will need a pedicure procedure less and less.

Which pedicure is better – hardware or classic?

As you can read above, both types of pedicure have their advantages and disadvantages. For the most part, it’s up to you to decide between what to choose. On the one hand, a cheap procedure and the possibility of contracting a fungus, on the other hand, the procedure is more expensive, but without the risk of getting an infection.

I am a hardware pedicure master. I also make a classic one (I started with it. I make it flawlessly). All of my clients gradually switched to hardware. The corns grow much less. The feet after the hardware are exceptionally well-groomed. But there is one BUT. There were clients who, having once tried an incompetent and unprofessional such pedicure earlier, were disappointed with it. I had to tell them everything and we can say to convince them otherwise. Conclusion: it depends on whose hands they did, what kind of burs, what kind of cosmetics and whether the entire hardware pedicure technique was performed exactly without saving money.

Hardware is many times better. Not so traumatic, the cuticle (cuticle) grows back faster with the usual. There was no such grinding and, accordingly, the softness of the feet for a long time. Hardware only. Classic after it – well, it is not quoted at all.
