Creative artist drawings created with shadow

The fantasy of this genius knows no bounds! Vincent Bal had already realized himself as a director for a long time, nevertheless, this profession did not bring him sufficient creative satisfaction. The director from Belgium had no idea that he would ever become an artist, but one day everything changed.

Unexpected shadow play inspired creativity

Once, a minor detail prompted him to start creating creative illustrations using light and shadow from the objects at hand. While working on the next script, he accidentally noticed how an unusual shadow, reminiscent of an elephant, was falling from his cup onto the paper lying on the table. In April 2016, he shared on his Facebook account a drawing with the shadow of this cup, which looked like an elephant.

“I took a photo of my drawing and created a post on Facebook. And before he knew it, my “baby elephant” got more likes and reposts than ever before ”, – comments Vincent Ball.

Thus, by combining your love of comics and creativity, Vincent Ball created a fantastic project called “Shadowology” (Shadowology)… Now one of Ball’s favorite activities is finding interesting shadows or objects that form a whimsical scene. In some cases, the illustrator thinks carefully about his work, but in general, the creation of one such caricature takes no more than 30 minutes.

“I love freedom. And within the framework of my project, I can create anything that my imagination is enough for. There are no restrictions here. It’s a quick, easy and fun way to make my fantasy come true. “ explains the artist.

Today illustrations Vincent are so popular that the artist opened his own online store, where you can buy postcards and clothes with images of his drawings.
